The robust stainless steel (AISI 316) pressure arm, combined with the unique rope/chain gypsy, is designed to effectively grip the splice between the rope and chain, giving the RC10 an unmatched level of performance. A stylish low-profile version and a stainless steel (AISI 316) fluted capstan drum version are available. The RC10 series also works effectively with all chain windlasses for those who desire a low-profile, stylish windlass on their foredeck.
The simple two-piece installation saves time and money and allows for easy retrofitting without disassembling the windlass. The unique spacer tube design allows installation on virtually any deck thickness, and the multiple mounting positions and self-aligning gearbox ensure optimal gearbox and motor placement in virtually any installation situation. There is also the option of completely dismantling the topworks using only the supplied handle and an Allen key. The huge through-deck hawse chute ensures easy entry and exit of the cable/chain in and out of the anchor locker. The cone-type clutch/brake mechanism allows for manual 'free-fall' anchoring. The sealed oil bath and marine-grade hard-anodized alloy gearbox provide maximum efficiency with a precision worm and worm wheel.
