Lever ratchet chain stop for 8mm to 10mm chain, for RC8 windlass series.

Windlasses are not designed to withstand the high loads that can be transmitted by the chain when at anchor. The chain must be secured with a chain stopper or the cable must be secured to a cleat, bollard, or other load-bearing point.

Height matched to the chain level of the RC series windlasses, meaning no packer or base is required. The body and pin are made of 316 stainless steel and the pawl is made of high-strength 2205 stainless steel.

The ratchet is shaped to fit the chain, preventing damage to the galvanizing caused by traditional ratchets. It has a high-quality, mirror-polished finish.

Compact and economical chain stop for 8 to 10 mm chains. This stainless steel model prevents damage to the windlass drive mechanism.

Chain stoppers hold the chain and relieve the load on the windlass. Always use a chain stopper to secure and raise the anchor, to release the anchor, or to prevent the anchor from accidentally falling free while underway.

With various power options (12V, 24V, 48V and hydraulic), it fits perfectly with your boat's windlass system. Whether you use chain, rope or a combination, this anchor arm works with all types and includes a built-in chain stopper to safely transmit anchor loads to the vessel.
