What does an exhaust manifold do?

The exhaust manifold collects burnt gases from the engine cylinders and directs them out through the exhaust. In marine engines, it is usually water-cooled to prevent overheating and damage.

When should it be replaced?

Cracks, corrosion, or internal leaks can cause water to mix with exhaust gases or oil. Replace every 5–7 years or at the first signs of failure.
