Les moteurs avant 2008 disposant d'un carter de distribution en plastique ( casting #090 ) étant supprimés de fabrication, le remplacement se fait désormais par un moteur V6 vortec disposant d'un carter de distribution en aluminium retravaillé pour récupérer le signal du capteur CPS et donc les bonnes informations pour l'injection sans modification lourdes du faisceau moteur par exemple .
