A shaft end anode is a sacrificial anode mounted at the end of the propeller shaft. It prevents electrolytic corrosion from attacking the exposed tip of the shaft.
Replace it when more than 50% consumed. Inspect during haul-outs or routine annual maintenance.
DAM Marine offers shaft end anodes in zinc, aluminum, or magnesium, compatible with various shaft diameters and mounting systems (threaded or pinned).
