What is a propeller nut anode?

A propeller nut anode is a sacrificial anode mounted on the propeller nut at the end of the propeller shaft. It protects the shaft and nut from galvanic corrosion.

When should it be replaced?

Replace when more than 50% consumed. Inspection is recommended during haul-outs or seasonal maintenance.

Materials and compatibility

DAM Marine offers anodes in zinc (saltwater), aluminum (all waters), and magnesium (freshwater), for various shaft diameters and nut threads.
