Why use a lower unit seal kit?

A lower unit seal kit gives you all the correct seals for a specific outboard or sterndrive model. It is the best option to restore factory-level sealing after dismantling the gearcase.

Replacing all seals at once helps prevent water intrusion and protect the gears and bearings.

When to replace lower unit seals

Water in the gear oil, visible leaks around the propeller shaft or shift rod, damaged seals or scheduled maintenance are good reasons to install a lower unit seal kit.

Using a complete kit saves time, avoids missing parts and secures your gearcase for many hours of operation.
