Pencil Anodes for Marine Engines and Heat Exchangers

Internal Corrosion Protection for Cooling Systems

What is a pencil anode?

A pencil anode is a small sacrificial anode screwed into the cooling circuits of marine engines or heat exchangers. It protects internal metal parts from electrolytic corrosion.

When should it be replaced?

Replace it when more than 50% consumed. It should be checked at every oil change or engine service.

Multiple materials and thread sizes available

DAM Marine supplies pencil anodes in zinc (saltwater), aluminum (all water types), and magnesium (freshwater), with or without threaded plugs, compatible with major inboard engine brands.
