What is a pre-elbow in an exhaust system?

The exhaust pre-elbow is an intermediate part installed between the manifold and the exhaust elbow. It helps align the exhaust system and improves gas flow efficiency.

When should it be replaced?

Due to heat and salt exposure, pre-elbows can crack, rust, or develop leaks. Inspect every 5–7 years and replace if any damage appears.
