Why monitor exhaust temperature?

An exhaust temperature indicator or alarm detects overheating in the exhaust system of a marine engine. This helps prevent engine damage due to failed cooling or restricted water flow.

How does it work?

A sensor is installed on the exhaust pipe and sends data to an alarm unit or display. If the temperature exceeds a safe limit, a visual or audible alert is triggered.

Which engines are compatible?

These alarms are suitable for both inboard and outboard engines, especially on diesel engines or those with raw water cooling systems.
