What is a goose neck in a marine exhaust system?

A goose neck is a high curved exhaust pipe installed after the waterlock. It raises the exhaust line to prevent seawater from backflowing into the engine, especially in rough sea conditions or when the engine is stopped.

When should it be replaced?

Replace if it shows signs of corrosion, cracking, or deformation. Regular checks help maintain exhaust system safety.
