Shaft Collar Anodes for Boats

Corrosion Protection for Propeller Shafts

What is a shaft collar anode?

A shaft collar anode is a sacrificial anode mounted around the propeller shaft. It absorbs galvanic corrosion to protect the shaft and other underwater metal components.

When should it be replaced?

Replace when more than 50% depleted. Inspect every 6 to 12 months or during haul-outs depending on salinity and usage.

Materials and compatibility

DAM Marine offers anodes in zinc (saltwater), aluminum (all waters), and magnesium (freshwater), for shafts of various diameters, with clamping screws or split-ring design.
