The function of the air filter is to protect the engine by holding the impurities of the airflow entering the engine.The air filter is positioned in front of the engine air intake and thus ensures the good quality of the air-fuel mixture that integrates the cylinders via the valves.

Air filter function

The function of the air filter is to protect the engine by holding the impurities of the airflow entering the engine.The air filter is positioned in front of the engine air intake and thus ensures the good quality of the air-fuel mixture that integrates the cylinders via the valves.

It is enclosed in a hermetic housing made waterproof by contact with a rubber or foam edge placed around the filter.Keeping a cracked air filter, severely damages the engine’s internal ducts resulting in malfunctions such as overconsumption, pollution, until contributing to the engine aberration.

When do you need to change your air filter?

\n

If the air filter no longer correctly filters impurities, it is that the air filter is crushed and can result in malfunctions at the engine level.Generally, it must be cleaned at least once a year depending on the use of the boat, sometimes even more.
