What is a long U-joint for?

A long U-joint is used when the engine and outdrive are further apart. It allows power transfer with flexibility and proper alignment, even in special or extended setups.

When to replace it?

Replace if there’s excess play, metallic noise, vibration or corrosion. In marine use, inspect it every 5 to 7 years.

Compatibility and use

Fits Volvo Penta, Mercruiser, OMC drives. Ideal for custom installations with extended layouts.
