Stainless steel portholes - Type PMS (AI)

VETUS offers a range of portholes made of stainless steel (AISI 316) in categories AI and AII.

They come with a stainless steel (AISI 316) inner frame, 8mm "smoked" acrylic glazing and a mosquito net on anodized aluminum frame.

These portholes are suitable for a structure thickness of 3 to 18mm.

Screws for different wall thicknesses can be ordered separately.

Medium-strength portholes - Type PX and PXF (AIII)

These portholes are suitable for use on the roof side.

They come with a 10mm smoked unframed opening glass pane.

The clamp-type installation ensures that no fasteners are visible from the inside or outside.

The portholes can be kept open in any position thanks to the friction hinges.

In the closed position, two buttons ensure watertightness. They come standard with a mosquito net.

The porthole can be installed on a surface with a minimum thickness of 2 mm and a maximum thickness of 18 mm.

Ultra-thin portholes - Type PZ (AI)

The PL series portholes are so flush that they resemble fritted glass and are suitable for installation in

a variety of materials.

Despite their low thickness, they are still CE approved for the AI location area, which means they can be used for all areas listed in the ISO standard! A very flat aluminum edge combined with the clamping mechanism ensures a very low-profile porthole even when mounted in the glass itself. They are also equipped with the new ergonomic buttons.

These ultra-thin portholes can accept panel thicknesses ranging from 2 to 20 mm. The inside of the clamping profile can be finished with the supplied trim. All

PL portholes are made of fashionable satin black aluminum with 10mm thick "black smoke" tinted acrylic for a premium look.

Deck panels made with a robust 21mm high aluminium profile, with an anodised frame and suitable for design category A and location zone II.

The acrylic is 10mm thick and comes in a “dark smoke†color.

These deck hatches come with adjusters that are stylish and easy to use, allowing the cover to be held open at almost any angle up to 90°.

The ALTUS type can be mounted on the deck and opened from

inside and outside. It has a ventilation position and can be completely waterproof.

Escape hatches - Type LIBERO (AII).

These hatches feature a hand polished and anodized aluminum frame with a 32 or 55mm corner radius and a 10mm dark colored acrylic cover.

The deck hatches and escape hatches come with adjustment devices to hold the cover open at almost any angle up to 90º.

A special friction hinge allows the ventilation hatches to stay open at any angle up to 180º.

The LIBERO type is suitable for design category A, zone II.

Escape hatches - Type MAGNUS (AI)

MAGNUS hatches have a satin anodized profile frame with 10mm thick “dark smoke†colored acrylic and are designed for offshore use, Design Category A, Zone I.

These hatches can be opened from the inside or outside and can remain open at any angle up to 180º with almost no obstruction in the opening.

They have a ventilation position and can be locked completely tightly.

The application on habitable multihulls as a means of evacuation in an inverted position is subject to European legislation.

Warning :

VETUS strongly advises against installing a MAGNUS AI panel below deck level in areas where (temporary) immersion may occur. When installing a panel below deck, always pay special attention to the base area, as hull flexing will compromise the watertightness of any panel.

These hatches feature a satin anodized aluminum frame with a 75mm corner radius and a 10mm dark smoke acrylic cover.

The PLANUS type is suitable for design category A, zone II.
