The RC6 series automatic anchor winch is made of stainless steel (AISI 316) and chrome-plated bronze suitable for use with 6mm/7mm chain spliced onto 12mm 8-plait cable.

The RC6 Series also features Maxwell's revolutionary patented Wave Design™ deck, a low-profile unit (no optional capstan drum). The vertical, in-line gearbox and motor allow for quick and easy installation. An inexpensive, high-performance, and aesthetically pleasing windlass, the RC6 is built to last and provide years of trouble-free use.

Offering most of the features of the RC8 series, the RC6 series was designed for the smaller trailer boat market.

The more powerful RC8-8 series can be used with 8mm chain spliced onto 14mm or 16mm 8-strand (braid) rope.

The ingenious Wave Design™ chain/rope system (chainwheel) is capable of accommodating a wide range of chain pitch differences within the specified chain size diameters. A sleek, low-profile version and a stainless steel (AISI 316) splined capstan drum version are available. The heavy-duty stainless steel (AISI 316) pressure arm is designed to effectively help grip the cable/chain splice, giving the RC8 series an unmatched level of performance. In combination with a heavy-duty, large-diameter stainless steel (AISI 316) pre-loaded spring, the pressure arm always exerts maximum control pressure. Works equally effectively with chain-driven bicycles. The huge through deck hawse chute ensures easy entry and exit of the cable/chain in and out of the anchor locker. The sealed oil bath and marine grade hard anodized alloy gearbox provide maximum efficiency with a screw and worm wheel.

Simple two-piece installation saves time and money and allows for easy retrofitting without windlass disassembly. Unique spacer tube design allows installation on virtually any deck thickness and multiple mounting positions. Self-aligning gearbox ensures optimal gearbox and motor location in virtually any installation situation. Complete topworks disassembly is possible using only the supplied handle and an Allen key. A "free fall" manual override, using the emergency clutch crank/handle, is also provided.

Anchor swivel shackles improve anchor retrieval. Using a swivel and connecting shackle for your anchor and mast will greatly improve anchor retrieval and help ensure the mast sits perfectly in your anchor locker.

Heavy-duty solenoids for RC12 Series dual-direction windlasses are used in conjunction with the remote up/down panel, AutoAnchor™ rod counters, mobile handheld remotes and/or foot switches to switch the motor in the required direction.

They are suitable for our winch motors. Available in 24V DC for 2-terminal permanent magnet (PM), 3-terminal series-wound (SW) and 4-terminal field-wound (FW) motors.

Ignition-protected solenoids. Installation in a dry location is always recommended.
