What is the decanter filter used for?
The decanter filter is inserted between the tank and the main fuel filter.Its role is to dispose of the fuel from the possible presence of water to improve the quality of combustion.
It shall be checked regularly to purge the water that has been taken and the filter shall be replaced according to the manufacturer's requirements
The water in the fuel system may come from the fuel tank or the supply tank.This water can also come from the moisture condensation contained in the reservoir mainly during a rapid decrease in air temperature.
If your boat is not equipped you can add one for a better fuel filtration.

How to replace the decanter filter of its boat engine?

Generally, we replace the filter cartridge as soon as it starts to be encrassed.Having transparent decanter bowls will allow you to visualize and drain unwanted water.We can therefore recommend a replacement every year.

The symptoms of the breakdown?
